The Mic Check Initiative supports politicians and individual policy that aim to bring more funding to the arts in our schools or widen access to an arts education
Educate
MCI will work to educate the public about the benefits of arts within our education system. Public awareness of the importance of art to youth development will result in a large pro-arts voter turnout in 2021 and 2022.

More About Us
The Mic Check Initiative has a goal to make the arts accessible to all students. We believe that the most effective way to do this is by actively impacting the legislative process. Our mission is to generate support for the campaigns of politicians who are willing to stand up for young artists, and make our voices heard. We will do this through partnerships with youth theatres, fundraising events, and awareness campaigns, and we’d love your help. Join us now!

What is a Political Action Committee?
A Political Action Committee, or PAC, is an organization that generates support for political candidates, or individual policy. The goal of a PAC is to impact the way voters vote, in order to create change. The Mic Check Initiative is a PAC whose gaol it is to get candidates who are going to support the arts in our schools elected. Do you wanna help us? Get involved!
